REVIEWS

Fuad and Carsten (March 2017, Absolute Getaways)

“The house is a heartwarming, soulful space, a home of strong beautiful energies from air, water, earth and spirit.

We rented it for a week, a unique rustic thatch villa on a cliff overlooking the shore, embedded in Tsitsikamma’s indigenous forest, with 180 degrees of unobstructed vantage sea view, even from the bed, “the pot” and the bathtub, to celebrate us and the beauty of life in splendour, whilst dolphins playfully danced in the waves for us.

It is too beautiful for words to wake up in the morning and peek from the bed across the ocean, during the day enjoy the view of the sea and the fresh breeze from one of the spacious decks, then later admire the sun setting at the horizon whilst you sip your champagne on a lounger on the front deck or in the hot bubble bath, and eventually cuddle up in front of a crackling fire at the indoor fireplace. Not to forget Peter’s freshest fish on this planet, his catch of the day straight from his hook onto your palate.

The Beach House, seemingly inspired by an indigenous African rondavel , and its matching rustic interior design are just awesome. This will be one of our homes from home to which we shall strive to return whenever our souls yearn for it.”

Maria (August 2017, Booking.com)
“Beautifully decorated, with fully-equipped kitchen that even had little extras like salt & pepper and sauces, coffee, tea, rusks and biscuits. The fireplace was lovely at night when it was cooler. Loads of wood on hand. The beach is on site and beautiful with rock pools, sandy stretches, swim area, fishing spots and, and, and… Lovely outside braai (barbeque) area too. A real treat.”

“This property was incredible and even nicer than the pictures look. The panoramic view of the sea from the main room and deck is amazing and the main bedroom suite was fantastic and luxurious, although the other two bedrooms are quite small. Overall the house has immense character and charm. There are so many places to sit and relax and a lovely small local beach. It is a real get-away from everything in a small village far from almost everything but a perfect place to unwind. We loved the fresh flowers which had kindly been placed everywhere, and the choice of a free bottle of wine. Would whole-hardheartedly recommend!”

Virginie (October 2017, Booking.com)
“Heaven on earth! We LOVED the place. Perfect if you are looking for a beautiful and quiet place.”

Sue (January 2017, Booking.com)
Truly magical spot, every little detail thought of, never ending sea views and a to die for location.”

Maryrose Peacock (March 2017, SA Venues)
“Wonderful position on the coast, amazing views of the sea from all rooms. Private beach. Secure and stunning outlook. House is well equipped and one is able to have a very peaceful and restful break with only the sound of the sea.”

Anna (February 2017, Airbnb)
“Fabulous location on the clifftop at Erstrivierstrand. It almost feels like you are sleeping in the sea. We saw hundreds of dolphins right in front of our balcony. Communication was all clear.”
