Frequently Asked Questions

What do we need to bring?

All of our homes are self catering. You are required to bring all your consumables including wood, charcoal, firelighters, spices, tea/coffee, toiletries etc. For the homes that have dishwashers and washing machines, you are required to bring your own detergents.

What is supplied for the guests?

All of our homes supply fresh linen and towels. The basic toiletry items supplied are toilet paper (one – two rolls per bathroom), hand soap, dishwashing liquid.

What is the clean fee for?

Most of our properties will have a once-off clean fee. This fee covers the full clean and preparation of the home prior to your arrival. As the homes are quite remote, we do not have staff that can service the homes on a daily basis and this requires the use of outsourced cleaning crews. Should your stay be 8 nights or longer, an additional clean-fee will apply to ensure that the home is cleaned midway during your stay.

Why charge a breakages deposit?

This is a very frequent question! We ensure that our guests have a fantastic experience in each of our homes but also expect our guests to respect the homes whilst they are there. We rent these lovely homes on behalf of the owners and our promise to the owners is that their home will be perfectly looked after and in the event that something is broken, it will be replaced or repaired. This is why we require a breakages deposit. Please bear in mind, we don’t charge for minor breakages (the odd glass or mug).
